Although it’s been uncommonly and unseasonably warm here in New York, Those Darlins’ “Summer’s Dead,” which was released on Tuesday, is particularly fitting for two reasons – summer has been over for about two weeks, and because it manages to be a song about murder. Seriously, what better time can you hear a murder song than in October? And what makes this track memorable is that it has a sleazy, badass, glam rock feel.

They recently released a split 7" with Heavy Cream, and Those Darlins will be embarking on a fall tour to support it – they’ll be stopping at the Glasslands Gallery on October 26th.
