If you watch AMC’s Hell on Wheels, you might be familiar with Scott Lucas and the Married Men’s rendition of the popularly covered folk tune “There Ain’t No Grave,” which appears on the band’s sophomore effort, Blood Half Moon. What makes this rendition so interesting to is that it’s done with a haunting, anxious and discomforting feel unlike any other version of the song I’ve heard.
And if you didn’t know, Scott Lucas is half of Local H – remember them? Lucas and the Married Men and Local H will be in town during the CMJ Festival for a show the Bell House on October 18th. Lucas will be playing a solo acoustic set of his work with Scott Lucas and the Married Men before kicking ass with Local H.
