As I mentioned in an earlier post, French Horn Rebellion collaborated with Jody Watley on their forthcoming EP, Love Is Dangerous, and also on that Chrome Canyon remixed the title track, “Love Is Dangerous,” giving the track a slick 80s R&B synth sound. Of course, if you love music – you have to really be obsessed with it to be in this line of work – you wind up bringing up tons of songs and artists from the depths of your memory. And while chatting with someone on Twitter, I was kind of amazed by how much I remembered. I brought up the Whispers, Oran “Juice” Jones, Patrice Rushen, Shanice, Janet Jackson, and Pebbles, as well as several others.

Pebbles’ “Giving You the Benefit,” brings back a lot of memories for me. I remember spending Friday nights watching MTV before listening to Kid Capri, and Red Alert do their things on the radio.
