A couple of weeks ago, Dead Heart Bloom and My Jerusalem had a show at the Mercury Lounge, and some of the proceeds were going out to help those who had lost so much from Superstorm Sandy in the NYC metropolitan area. Dead Heart Bloom’s sound made them an appropriate opener for My Jerusalem – as an opener, their sound was moody and as dark as their headliner.
My Jerusalem’s set was comprised mostly from their excellent Preachers with one or two exceptions – they didn’t play “This Time,” which was a little disappointing but most of the set was played close to the actual order on the album; however the songs were played with a little bit more muscle and with room to stretch out some of the songs.
