Brooklyn-based electronic rock artist Jake Courtouis performs under the moniker Koortwah, and he recently produced a forthcoming EP titled, The Wilderness with Matt Thornley of LCD Soundsystem at DFA Studios. Courtouis enlisted the help of two former members of Hercules and Love Affair, who are now currently members of Midnight Magic. Koortwah recently released the video for album title track, “The Wilderness” and it includes footage of video projections, stuff from National Geographic, masks and blood – it fits with the general tone of a song that sounds as though it were inspired by Depeche Mode, and the Cure, among others.
