Brownout has gone from being the side project and alter ego of Grammy award winning, Austin, TX-based act Grupo Fantasma to being more or less a full-time act with the release of the band’s third full-length album (and their debut on National Geographic Records), Oozy. “Business at Hand” is the first single from the new album and it sounds quite a bit like the Beastie Boys’ instruments on Ill Communication and/or a bit like Mandrill – it’s funky but maintains a psychedelic rock feel as well.

If you’re in the Southeast, you can expect to see them pass through a city near you – especially New Orleans, LA; Hattiesburg, MS; Atlanta, GA; Asheville, NC; Raleigh, NC; Baton Rouge, LA; Monroe, LA
