After the release of four celebrated albums,  two Grammy award nominations and several others and about a dozen chart hits including a number 1 song in her native Sweden, singer/songwriter Elin Ruth moved across the Atlantic to Brooklyn – for love and with the intent of sparking her creativity with a change in surroundings.  And the result was Ruth’s Stateside self-titled debut, which is reportedly her most personal material to date.

The official video for the first single off her Stateside debut, “Bang” was released specifically for International Women’s Day, and it shows Ruth in her entirety – as a beautiful, charming woman with a soulful voice. The song itself sounds as though it could have been easily released in 1964.
