Produced by Jonwayne and Mndsgn, “Altitude” is the first single off Jonwayne’s forthcoming mixtape, The Marion Morrison Mixtape –  it’s the third part of a cassette trilogy which Stones Throw Records will be releasing on Tuesday. 

Jonwayne spits lyrics with a gravely baritone over a sparse but eerie organ-based jazz sample, which is reminiscent of hip hop’s golden age – while creating a sense of deep-seated anxiousness.
