In the three plus years i’ve run this site, I’ve become quite a fan of the Los Angeles-based label, Stones Throw Records – not only have they consistently put out the work of forward-thinking and adventurous artists, they consistently seek out rather diverse artists and promote the hell out of them.

Vex Ruffin’s latest album will be released later this year, and he just released the official video for that effort’s latest single, “Living for the Future.” With it’s sparse, minimalist and chilly feel the song sounds heavily inspired by Kraftwerk but with a eerie sense of unease and menace just below the surface.
