Nick Koenig, is a multidisciplinary artist who writes, records and produces music under the moniker of Hot Sugar and has also developed a reputation for his video production school. In fact, there have been rumors of Koenig’s participation in a “supergroup” that would include Michel Gondry and MC Paul Barman.

Musically, Koenig’s sound is heavily influenced by psychological triggers and an impeccable sense of melody and beats with samples which he has crafted himself. His hooks are highly unorthodox and have been used by the Roots on their Undun album, and he’s been linked to members of Das Racist and to Damon Dash. So he’s an up-and-coming producer…

“Zanny Bath” feat Bill Ding is the latest single off his soon-to-be released EP Man Made EP and the track is full of big, club ratting beats, and beats that sound both alien and yet familiar. You’ll notice the densely layered production stuff that bears repeated listens.
