As a blogger, the interwebs can be a fascinating place: I often stumble on to something that’s awesome – or someone directs me to something awesome. I recently came across some footage of the Horrors covering David Bowie’s Suffragette City as part of the On Track … with Seat series– naturally, the Horrors cover takes some liberties in the sense that they sound like themselves (somewhat) while still retaining some of the original feel of the song. You don’t hear the most famous conclusion in rock history – you can hear Bowie saying “AHHHHHHHHHHHH Wham Bam! Thank you, ma’am!” And in their cover, that line isn’t mentioned.  And instead of horns, you’ll hear keyboards. Noticeable differences indeed.
