The legendary jazz label, Verve Records released Trombone Shorty’s latest album, Say This To Say That back in September, and the album which is his third on Verve finds Trombone Shorty collaborating with Raphael Saddiq, known for his work with Tony Toni Tone, and for his production work with the likes of D’Angelo, Mary J. Blige, John Legend, and others. Additionally, the album which was recorded in New Orleans, LA and in Los Angeles, CA also includes collaborations with the original lineup of the Meters – on their first recording since their split up in 1977; Shorty’s own band Orleans Avenue, and Cyril Neville.

“Fire and Brimstone” is one of the first singles (and videos) off the album and it’s an incredibly funky track that should make you feel good down to your very soul.
