The sophomore full-length effort from the Head and the HeartLet’s Be Still debuted on Billboard’s Top 10 List and was number 1 on the Independent Label release list after it had sold some 43,000 copies in the first week of it’s release. And thanks to the album’s early success the band made an appearance on Late Show with David Letterman and on the CW’s Hart of Dixie. “Shake” is the first single from the new effort and it has an agreeable 70s AM radio twang, complete with handclap-based percussion throughout. Lyrically, the song is a sweet love song tinged with a bit of regret, as though there’s the realization that all things must inevitably end, and that when the inevitable happens what’s left are lingering  (and imperfect) memories.
