British dance music trio Above & Beyond will be releasing a full-length concert film by the title of Above & Beyond: Acoustic which was shot and recorded at Porchester Hall. The album and film will see a January 28th release through Anjunabeats/Ultra Music. What makes the film and the album compelling is that the trio performs with a 15 piece orchestra. And as you’ll hear on the first single and video (which coincidentally is one of the trio’s most beloved songs), “Love is Not Enough,” featuring Zoe Johnston, the song has been reworked and re-arranged into a mesmerizingly lush, gorgeous song. In some way, the song seems to suggest the reconciliation between our own character flaws and the flaws in our relationships that ultimately cause most of them to fail. But it also manages to convey the accretion of confused motivations, longing and regret that can increasingly become part of our own lives.
