As a singer/songwriter Bart Davenport has seen many eras – he’s been a Mod, a a bluesman and a soft rock troubadour, and his forthcoming effort Physical World slated for a March 4th release digitally through Lovemonk Records and cassette through Burger Records reportedly mixes all of Davenport’s “eras” and sound to create something that sounds a helluva lot like the Northern soul of the early Kinks and others.

“Wearing the Changes” the first song from the album manages to possess some of the same witty and seemingly old-timey charm of Marco Benevento’s work but with thoughtful, pop-oriented lyrics and a breezy feel.
