As much as my fellow New Yorkers love to hate on New Jersey – and sometimes I have to admit it’s way too easy to do so – the Garden State has been the home to some of the hardest rocking bands in recent memory including Thursday, the Rye Coalition and several others. The New Brunswick, NJ-based trio Black Wine continues that reputation with the forthcoming release of their fourth full-length effort Yell Boss on August 12 through Don Giovanni Records.

“Rime,” the first single off the forthcoming album is a great example of buzzing, room-rattling power chord rock reminiscent of grimy 80s rock, complete with howled lyrics. And holy shit, does it kick ass!
