Born and raised in the Mojave Desert, Elizabeth Ann Clark, a filmmaker and classically trained pianist began composing melodies which eventually evolved into electronic dance songs. Recording, writing and performing under the moniker of VIRGO, Clark’s sound has been compared by some to the likes of GrimesLittle Dragon, CHVRCHES and others. Her latest single “humanoid” continues where “II” let off in the fact that sonically, “humanoid” but it manages to sound much more metallic, as though it came from a robot, who traveled from 2365. But just underneath the surface there’s a tension between a swooning Romanticism and a icy futurism.
