Appropriately named after their lead vocalist, Dorothy, is Los Angeles, CA-based quartet, which consists of Dorothy (vocals), Mark Jackson (guitar), Greg (bass). and Zac Morris (drums). And in a relatively short time, they’ve received quite a bit of attention across the interwebs and the blogosphere for a sound that employs elements of riff-heavy 60s and 70s rock, the blues, and hip-hop with a soulful vocalist. Their second and latest single “Wild Fire” sounds as though it owes a debt to The Black Keys and The Shouting Matches as the track shows that the Los Angeles-based quartet can do a gritty, wailing blues with some of the best of them.
