A few months ago, I wrote about the Utrecht, Netherlands-based trio of Stillwave. Comprised of  Michael van Putten, Marcel Jongejan and Adrian Hogervost, the trio quickly developed a reputation across both their native Holland and the European Union for a sound that meshes elements of alternative rock, New Wave, post-punk and shoegazer rock. Whereas the previous single I posted, “Modes of Transport” bore a resemblance to David Bowie, if he were the frontman of Remain in Light-era Talking Heads, the trio’s latest single “Slow Binder” interestingly enough, bears an even stronger resemblance to Lodger and Heroes-era Bowie but somehow a bit slicker.
