Comprised of Nik Rayne, Grant Beyschau, Cody Schwartz, Connor Gallaher and Miguel Urbina, the Tucson, AZ-based quintet of The Myrrors have released efforts under dark and mysterious cloak – and on a certain level that shouldn’t be surprising since their sound is equally dark and mysterious. “Dome House Music,” the second single off their forthcoming Arena Negra reminds me quite a bit of The Black Angels second effort, Directions to See a Ghost and of the atmospheric drone-based releases off Silber Records as the song is starts off quietly and slowly before building a trance-like droning groove with a saxophone floats and darts through the mix. It’s trippy and yet ominous, as though it should inspire a shamanic ritual.
