Afrolicious has developed a reputation for being both one of the premier weekly dance parties in the San Francisco area, and one of that area’s top sound system crews/electronic acts heavily inspired by the sounds of Afrobeat. In fact, last year they released the Pleasure Time EP which was not only slickly produced, but it was reviewed pretty favorably across the blogosphere. This year, the band created their own label, Afrolcious Music, and their releasing their latest single titled Pleasure TIme. 

Peruvian electronica act Novalima were enlisted to remix “Pleasure Time” for the single and their remix interestingly enough adds a bit of a tribal and shimmering disco-like feel simultaneously while retaining the horns and a subtle nod to reggae, as the original song does.
