After the release of their acclaimed demo EP and several SXSW performances, the Philadelphia, PA-based (originally by way of Connecticut) quintet Cheerleader recently released their official debut single “Perfect Vision.” Interestingly, the song was something the band started working on about two years ago and put on the shelf because they felt as though they couldn’t quite get the right sound – that was until this past February when the band had the opportunity to record at East/West Studios in Los Angeles, CA.

Inspired by Robyn and Icona Pop, the track is an uplifting summer tune that evokes possibility – especially possibility that finally feels within reach. You should expect to hear this song a lot over the summer, thanks to an anthemic chorus that bolsters the song.
