Although A Million Billion Dying Suns formed early last year, frontman Nate Mercereau and the rest of the band have been bouncing around professionally as they’ve collaborated with the likes of Richard AshcroftLauryn Hill and the legendary Chaka Khan

And with a name like A Million Billion Dying Suns, their sound at times is appropriately blazing and psychedelic with undulating reverb and wah-wah pedal drenched guitars, as you’d hear on the Strawberry EP’s first single “Plush.” “Secret Tree,” the latest single off their forthcoming debut effort is bolstered by plinking keyboard chords and propulsive bass while retaining blistering guitars – in particular, check out the guitar solo at the bridge. Whereas as “Plush” had a blissed-out psychedelic disco feel, “Secret Tree” is decidedly muscular and yet strangely funky.
