Although Lauren Morgan (vocals, guitar) and Jordan Shih (guitar) formed the Florida-based act SALES relatively recently, the collaboration has received quite a bit of love across the blogosphere for a songwriting process that varies consistently between tracking, live recording, sampling and a little bit of chopping and screwing while crafting songs that are fairly sparse; as a general rule their songs are comprised of Morgan’s vocals backed by guitar and some electronics. As you’ll hear on “getting it on,” the latest single from the duo’s recently released self-titeld EP, their sound bears a resemblance to the likes of Junip – but breezier and even more minimalist. 

The duo will be in town tomorrow at Baby’s All Right to celebrate the release of their self-titled EP and they will follow that up with a US tour in November. So if you can’t make their show tomorrow, try to catch them at a music venue near you.
