Consisting of Marty Crandall (guitar and vocals), Neal Langford (guitar), both former members of the Shins, Crandall’s brother Maury (drums), and Jason Ward (bass), Sad Baby Wolf is a collection of accomplished musicians from Albuquerque, NM.  And to build up some buzz for the band’s soon-to-be released debut full-length, Electric Sounds, the band released a video of their blistering (yet faithful) cover of the legendary shoegazer band, the Jesus and Mary Chain’s “Never Understand.”

What’s particularly cool about this video is that it’s filmed from someone’s iPhone and captures a bunch of guys jamming in one take without overdubs or any other engineering techniques.
