Hailing from Los Angeles and London respectively, AM and Shawn Lee first bonded over their mutual love of vintage French and Italian soundtrack music and 80s sound effects. Individually, both artists have had work that’s been well-received critically and by fans. AM’s sound mixes pop, soul, R&B and psychedelica, and Lee has been known for creating funky and groovy instrumental tracks – tracks that have been widely sampled by hip hop artists. 

With the duo’s forthcoming second album, La Musique Numerique,set to drop on May 7th, the duo continues to play with genre conventions. On album opener “Two Times” AM and Lee mix some 80s reggae riddim with 70s and 80s blue soul on a track that’s quite infectious.
