Hailing from North Lincolnshire, UK the Ruen Brothers – Henry and younger brother Rupert Ruen have won the attention of the likes of BBC Radio One’s Zane Lowe and Rick Rubin, after the release of their first single “Aces.” And although that track had quickly had tastemakers and bloggers across parts of the world raving about the Ruen Brothers, I personally think that “Walk Like A Man” from their recently released Blood Runs Wild EP is quite the standout track as it combines elements of early Elvis Presley, the brooding theatrics and Romanticism of the great Roy Orbison and rockabilly – and much like classic rockabilly, it feels raw, primal and absolutely seductive.
