House of Vans
August 14, 2014
As I’ve mentioned maybe a dozen times here – give or a take a few dozen — it’s been a very busy summer here as I’ve been continuing to deal with the competing demands for my time and attention of a legitimate day job and that of a music blog, with having a social life. Yes, I wish i had a 55 hour day but somehow, I know myself very well, and with a 55 hour day I know that i’d try to squeeze in more.
So as you can tell, I’m woefully behind on a lot of things. Things that I shouldn’t be behind on but since this site is a (mostly) one-man operation, what can you do, right?
In any case, back in mid August, I was at Greenpoint, Brooklyn’s House of Vans to catch DFA Records very own, Holy Ghost!, an electro pop band that has in some way attempted to fill the very huge shoes left by LCD Soundsystem. Check out some photos of a very sweaty night of dance music in Brooklyn below.
