Just before Elephant Stone was to embark on their Eastern US tour to support their sophomore self-titled effort, they enlisted the Horrors’ Tom Furse to remix album single, “A Silent Moment.” Interestingly, this remix and several other collaborations between Furse and Elephant Stone’s Rishi Dhir started from a chance meeting at Coachella. 

Furse’s remix brings out the gentle, buzzing drone of the sitar. gentle drumming on the tabla to create a mind-bending, perception altering psychedelica. 

The band will be at the Mercury Lounge tonight for the early set, and for the rest of my fellow East Coasters, you can catch them in some of the following cities: Washington, DC; Asheville, NC; Nashville, TN; Louisville, KY; Chicago, IL; and Detroit, MI.
