Legendary German band the Notwist recently signed with Sub Pop Records. Their Sub Pop debut, Close to the Glass is slated for a February 25th release, and the new effort will further cement the band’s reputation for meshing precise electronic programming with the earnestness of rock. Interestingly, album title track “Close to the Glass” begins with industrial clanging and banging, sounds like a percussive version of Radiohead’s “Idioteque."
