Moon King, the collaboration between Doldrums’ Daniel Benjamin and Maddy Wilde, released their debut EP, Obsessions I earlier this summer on One Big Silence, the label founded by Fucked Up’s Mike Haliechuk, and the label home of Diamond Rings and Austra. “Only Child,” was the first single and the first video from that effort, and the video matches the song’s 80s synth pop feel – kinda like the Thompson Twins on steroids. It looks and feels like you would have caught the video following the video for U2’s “Sunday Bloody Sunday” – i mean they even got the cheesy editing effects down right.
