Originally one half of the sister duo Festival and a member of the experimental prog project Ga’an, the Brooklyn-based electro pop artist Lindsay Powell now performs as a solo artist, under the moniker of Fielded

“Reign,” the latest single from her self-released forthcoming EP, Universally Handsome manages to be a stuttering, glitchy bit of futuristic pop that’s minimalist enough to allow room for Powell’s seductive and powerful vocals. in some small way, it may remind some listeners of Timbaland’s wild sonic experiments with Missy Elliot – in the sense that it sounds totally unlike anything of it’s time and perhaps as though it comes from some dystopian future.
