Thanks to the modern oracle of Google, I often receive a ton of emails from PR firms and labels touting new bands, and on occasion I hear from a band personally – some of them are worthy of greater attention; some of them not always worthy of more attention … 

Not that long ago, I received an email from the Australian fusion band, Three Wise Monkeys. The band recently released a full-length of original, instrumental compositions titled, Perihelion. “Sol Invictus” is the latest single and video. With it’s cinematic feel, the song is reminiscent of the German duo, Collapse Under The Empire – the song sounds as though it would be the sort of music heard in a post apocalyptic thriller: somewhat chilly but expressive.
