The Los Angeles-based ZZ Ward got her start as a professional musician by playing in her father’s blues band in dive bars across Oregon when she was 12 – yes, that’s right, 12. Last year, she turned a lot of heads by releasing a mixtape with Kendrick Lamar, before he blew up. Interestingly, Lamar, Fitz and the Tantrums and Freddie Gibbs all collaborated with Ward on her critically acclaimed debut, ‘Til the Casket Drops

“365 Days” is the latest single from the album, and with a big bluesy voice, which sounds quite a bit like Adele, mixed with hip hop (you’ll hear it in the backing beats) I think Ward is poised to take over the world.

She’s got an upcoming show at Warsaw on June 21st, and it may be one of the shows you should look forward to.
