The Washington, DC-based quartet of the Petticoat Tearoom’s name is derived from the now-defunct Southern Harmony Accent and Petticoat Tea Room in Baltimore, MD. Lead singer Tomas Pagan Motta came across the storefront sign while on a nighttime walk through Baltimore.

The band recorded their self-titled effort on tape during a single take, over the course of a weekend. “Love Isn’t Gone” is the first single from the new album, and it’s a gorgeous track which reminds me quite a bit of Led Zeppelin 3
