Those Darlins’ lead vocalist and guitarist, Nikki Darlin’s brithday was yesterday and to celebrate, the band released the latest single from their soon-to-be released album, Blur the Lines“Baby Mae.” The single is reportedly a tribute to Mae West, and the track possesses a bluesy, sleazy shuffling swagger that manages to also be darkly seductive. (In some way thanks to the sweet harmonies it reminds me of the Go-Gos but if they were hanging out with the Runaways or someone like that.)

The band will be touring throughout the fall to support the release and it’ll include stops in some of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; Chattanooga, TN; Knoxville, TN; Charlottesville, VA; Baltimore, MD; October 12th at Union Pool; Washington, DC; Pittsburgh, PA; and of course, several other stops.
