Untitled

Occasionally, the old New York that i once loved is hidden below the surface of new developments and chain stores – and it’s still beautiful and extremely weird but it seems to be disappearing before our eyes. Yesterday, after I got out of work, I still had quite a bit of time to kill before heading over to Lower East Side venue, Drom to catch Michael-Louis Smith’s Album Release Show, so I decided to wander through Times Square for a little bit when I passed by the gorgeous Maragarita Dominguez dressed as a flamenco girl on Broadway.

Not only was Ms. Dominguez gorgeous, she had the sort of smile that could light up a room and when I passed her, I had to take a photo or two.

Here, Michael-Louis Smith leading his quintet through an amazing evening of bop-inspired jazz at Drom.
