Photography: Life in Quarantine

Over the last few weeks, life as we know it has become more uncertain and frightening than we could have ever imagined. Earlier this week, I wandered around New York with my trusty Canon 77D because I needed to see familiar New York neighborhoods at the emptiest I’ll (or anyone else) will ever see. And it’s been the strangest, eeriest thing I’ll likely ever see in my life.

Grand Central Terminal at the emptiest I’ve ever seen it. This was taken at around 5:45pm on St. Patrick’s Day.

West 42nd Street and Broadway, looking east towards the Chrysler Building. This picture was taken around 5;20pm on St. Patrick’s Day.

Today would have been my father’s 66th birthday — and with the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been a bit difficult for me emotionally. It’s been a bit too much, so with some influence by a Twitter follower and friend, I wandered around a bit to take some photos.
