Last Tuesday, I was at a networking event in Greenpoint. So, I took the G Train — and it turned out to be an R46 model, with the orange, yellow and red plastic seats. The MTA is retiring the R46 models soon. And if you’re a native New Yorker, you have fond memories of the R46.
Whether sitting forward or backward, you usually sat in the two-seat with a date or your significant other as you were heading home from a date, and if things went well, you’d spend your ride home getting closer.
With the three-seat, you had to pick which of the three you were going to sit in during rush hour — or you’d drunkenly spread out and fall asleep on the seats.
