There’s a lot of deadass in this picture. So curiously: who do these Tims belong to? And how did they get here?

Yesterday, I felt the desperate and urgent need to get out of my apartment and get some sunlight on my skin. Unfortunately, it was an uncommonly cold November afternoon, but it was still worth it. I had forgotten some of the anxiety I had earlier in the day. — and I had my camera with me.

Lately, whenever I’ve walked to Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, I often think about the 1964 World’s Fair and its optimistic and hopeful view of the future: The Unisphere was commissioned to celebrate the beginning of The Space Age — and it was meant to represent the theme of global interdependence, with the structure being dedicated to “Man’s Achievements on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe.” The fair itself was supposed to promote peace through understanding. Sigh. Man, we really fucked that up. But maybe we can get it right this time.
