Photography: Winter in Quarantined New York: Flushing Meadows-Corona Park

The title of this post is a bit of a misnomer because it was a gorgeous, spring-like afternoon. But I was glad to get outdoors for a walk. The exercise and having a few zen-like moments where I could just focus on the here and now have been necessary for trying to keep remotely sane.

The other day, I had managed to get a late start, and I didn’t feel all that inclined to take public transportation so I stayed in the neighborhood and walked down the street to Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. Check out some photos below.

Caption: Fire damaged home, Waldron Street and Horace Harding Expressway, Corona, Queens, NYC. This home reminds me of how tenuous our existence is — one simple event can alter the course of our lives or deaths. So we should be grateful for the things we have and cherish them as much as possible.
