My Gift to You is Davell Crawford’s first full-length release in well over a decade. Released through the renowned Basin Street Records, the album is Crawford’s love letter to his birthplace and hometown, and it features collaborations with the likes of Dr. John, Donald Harrison, Jr., Walter “Wolfman” Washington and others. From the material, I’ve heard, the album balances smooth, New Orleans jazz, and the blues with dirty South funk – and it’s done with a playful, winsome charm.

Tonight, Crawford will be playing at Joe’s Pub, and to give you a sense of Crawford’s live presence and his live sound, check out this live performance of “River/White Socks and Drawers” shot on a horse carriage through downtown New Orleans.
