Two weeks ago, I was in Rouyn-Noranda, Québec for the 22nd edition of the FME Festival. That just seems hard to believe. But it’s true.
On the festival’s second day, I stopped at Cabaret de la Dernière Chance for Bonbonbon Records‘ Fifth Anniversary Party. While one act playing the showcase caught my attention, I was also intrigued by the fact that there would be free food. And if you’re coming from a distance with limited funds, you will take advantage of whatever free thing you can: Free booze? Absolutely. Free food? Definitely.
The label served grilled pork and tofu tacos. They also had corn on the cob. It had started to drizzle and spritz a bit and it was a little chilly, so it was just miserable to be outside. As I was going under some cover to eat, I tried to take photos of my tacos. Hilariously, I fucked up and moved or something. And I got this trippy array of color, where my tacos were.
