When i first met my dear friend J.S., she was DJ’ing and had a regular party at Hell Gate Social called Grooveskool, and she would pick up the occasional gig around town. She hadn’t spun in quite some time but when she told me that she’d be spinning as part of a Doctor Who-themed goth/industrial party at Don Pedro’s in Bushwick, I knew I had to come through. Of course I did take some random photos while there …

During the party, they screened several episodes of Doctor Who, including this classic one when Doctor Who and companions encounter the Tomb of the Cybermen.

I think pinball machines are always pretty cool, especially in bars.

More of Doctor Who – the same episode. This time the Cybermen have been awakened from their long sleep and they’re pissed.

Lazer lights on the walls.

Skee ball. Every time I skee ball machine, I think of amusement parks – namely Coney island. It’s a shame what has happened to Coney Island these days.
