Heavily inspired by the breakup for a long-term relationship, Mirah’s fifth full-length album Changing Light tells a universal tale of betrayal, heartbreak, confusion and eventually moving forward, the material on the album features collaborations with the likes of Deerhoof’s Greg Saunier, Mary Timony, Emily Wells, Mount Moriah’s Heather McEntire, Jherek Bischoff and Divers’ Emily Zeitlyn. Comprised of cinematic orchestral arrangements, the material also revealed a diverse array of influences as songs employed elements of folk, punk, R&B and others.

JD Samson, best known for her time in Le Tigre and for her current project MEN remixed album single “24th Street” turning the song into atmospheric electro pop song with undulating synths and a subtly tribal feel, which gives the song more of a sensual, decadent feel – as though the song had gone through a bit of Giorgio Moroder treatment.
