As I mentioned in a previous post, I was in Washington Square Park for a free, all-ages Showbrain Presents showcase that featured local acts BODEGA, Native Sun, TVOD and New Haven-based outfit T!LT. More on that later.

I had noticed some chalk art on my way to the Garibaldi statue and made a mental note to pass by on my way back. As this piece says, “No one will abolish ICE for us. We must dismantle it ourselves. Piece by piece. Contract by contract. Vehicle by vehicle. Clavicle by clavicle.”
