Photography: Summer in Quarantined New York Part 3
Last Wednesday was mom’s third and final chemotherapy treatment. Unfortunately, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I couldn’t be there with her; but from what mom has said, the staff at Mount Sinai have been kind, attentive, and professional — and it’s eased my worries and concerns quite a bit.
The chemotherapy appointments wind up taking up most of the day, so it’s a perfect opportunity to take photos and wander around town. This edition starts off in Harlem with the Apollo Theater, a gorgeous Black Lives Matter mural on 125th Street and 7th Avenue, before heading to the Welling Court Mural Project in Astoria, a brief stop in Williamsburg to check out a mural detailing 2020 and more.
