“Slipping Away,” is the first single off Not Quite Yours, the Seattle, WA-based Barcelona’s follow up to their 2009 debut, Absolutes. Not Quite Yours which was independently released, offers a change in direction for the band. Interestingly, this track reminds me quite a bit of 90s Brit Pop – it’s melodic, moody but incredibly seductive.  The song also recently appeared on ABC’s Pretty Little Liars. 

The band will be embarking on a West Coast and Southern tour to support their latest effort, and it’ll start with two CMJ Festival sets on October 20th: a set at Spike Hill and a set at Rockwood Music Hall.
