Tag: Single Review: You Are Alone

Red for Stop is a mysterious French indie outfit that has won the KR Home Studio Discoveries contest three of the past four years. The act’s latest single, the woozy “You Are Alone” is a slick synthesis of 120 Minutes era MTV alt rock and trip hop centered around twinkling keys, stuttering beats, shimmering feedback-drenched guitars, soaring strings and an anthemic hook are paired with coquettish vocals. The end result is a song that brings Sneaker Pimps and Slowdive to mind — but with a subtle yet visceral sense of menace.
