The Chicago, IL-based quintet, the Orwells have quickly developed a reputation for passionate and frenetic live sets. Their Who Needs You EP was produced by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, and managed to get attention from blogs across the country, thanks to the fact that the EP’s title track, managed to be reminiscent of the intensely passionate garage rock that the Clash and the Ramones. 

The band’s latest single, “The Righteous One” bears an uncanny resemblance to Danzig, thanks to the fact that their vocalist is singing with a lusty baritone and a sleazy, swagger; however, the song is fairly approachable as it’s not overwhelmingly dark.
